2014 Mazda6 priced starting at $20,880, specs revealed

2014_Mazda6_EXT360_SnowflakeWhitePearl_02The pricing details of the new Mazda6 were anounced bac in November and recently the Japanese car manufacturer has released the specs corresponding to the tag prices for the trims of the 2014 model year.

The mid-size sedan Mazda6 offered in the United States will come with a 2.5-L four-cylinder powerplant that can produce 184 HP while revving at 5,700 rpm. There will also be a turbocharged diesel variant that will be released before the year ends.

The gasoline engine will be paired to a six-speed manual transmission that brings the powers to the front wheels. This setup gives the 2014 Mazda6 a fuel mileage of 25/37 mpg city/highway and a 29 miles a gallon combined cycle. There is also an automatic version that is slightly more efficient at 26/38 mpg city/highway and a combined cycle of 30 mppg.

The 2014 Mazda6 will come in three trims. The entry-level i Sport has a tag price of $20,880 exclusive of destination fees. This trim will come with a push-button start, adjustable steering column, power windows, air conditioning, 17-inch alloy rims, and manual transmission. If you will go for an automatic transmission, you end up with added features like 5.8-inch touch screen, rearview camera, and a host of digital media technologies.

The Touring trim goes for $24,495 not including destination charges. This version rolls on 19-inch rims. This car comes with SKYACTIV-Drive as option. It comes with all the features of the entry-level car plus dual-zone climate control, sport seats with leatherette trim, and power seat for the driver.

The top of the line car is the Grand Touring version priced at $24,495. It comes with additional features like a navigation system, keyless entry, Bose speakers, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and auto-dimming mirrors. It adds heated front seats, power moonroof, 19-inch rims, paddle shifters, among other comfort features.
